Comedy Suitcase is a Minneapolis based theatrical production company dedicated to creating live comedy for all ages. Founded in 2010 by Joshua English Scrimshaw and Levi Weinhagen, Comedy Suitcase strives to bridge the gap between imaginative children's theater and sophisticated comedy for adults, crafting shows that appeal to young and old alike. In the words of Groucho Marx: "A child of five could understand this. Fetch me a child of five!"

The Scrimshaw Brothers are a Minneapolis comedy team specializing in sketch and theatrical comedy. The Brothers are staples of the Minnesota Fringe Festival, among City Pages'2002 Artists of the Year and the creators of two Twin Cities' late night cabarets, Look Ma No Pants and The Scrimshaw Show. The Pioneer Press calls the Scrimshaw Brothers “the Twin Cities' sharpest sketch comedy team” and in 2003, Minneapolis-St. Paul Magazine named The Scrimshaw Brothers as one of the Twin Cities' top ten family owned businesses.

Joseph Scrimshaw is a writer, comedian, and actor based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. As a geek flavored comedian, he's performed at CONvergence, San Francisco SketchFest, H.P. Lovecraft Film Festival, Chicago Improv Festival, Minnesota Public Radio's WITS, Jonathan Coulton's JoCoCruiseCrazy, and more. As a writer, he's working with John Kovalic's Dork Storm Press developing Dr. Blink for movies and television. Joseph has written for RiffTrax, the national sketch comedy TV show M@dAbout, and crafted several commentaries for Minnesota Public Radio on topics such as personal sharing on facebook and swearing at smartphones. Joseph operates a theater company in the Twin Cities called Joking Envelope. His plays, ADVENTURES IN MATING, AN INCONVENIENT SQUIRREL, and MY MONSTER (written with Bill Corbett) have played in New York, Seattle, Orlando, Dallas, Las Vegas, the UK, Bulgaria, Peru, the middle of the Caribbean Sea, as well as bars and theaters across the entire expanse of South Minneapolis. Joseph also performs with The Rockstar Storytellers. Joshua English Scrimshaw, as chance would have it, is also an actor, writer and producer, not to mention a "clever and inventive voice in comedy theater"(Star Tribune) A Fringe Festival veteran, Joshua has co-created many critically acclaimed shows, including Shut Your Joke Hole, From Here to Maternity and The Harty Boys in the Case of the Limping Platypus. In 2010, Joshua and Levi Weinhagen founded Comedy Suitcase, an all ages theater company dedicated to bridging the gap between imaginative children's theater and sophisticated comedy for adults. In addition to producing his own shows, Joshua has worked with a wide variety of Twin Cities' theater companies including Bedlam Theater, John Munger's Third Rabbit Dance Ensemble, Theater in the Round, Actors Theater of Minnesota, Off Leash Area, Cheap Theater, Lili's Burlesque Revue and Hardcover Theater. Joshua makes his television writing debut this fall on the new syndicated sketch comedy show Mad About and his newest play, To Mars With Tesla, can be seen next June at the Southern Theater as part of the Steampunk Dreams series.
